3 digital murals installed in hospital corridor

ALL SAINTS HEALTH CARE

CLIENT: All Saints newly constructed hospital in Racine, Wisconsin

APPLICATION: 3 large scale digital murals, two large scale oil paintings on canvas, decorative paint finishes in 18 NICU rooms, lettering in nursery, stenciling in two surgical rooms, ceiling mural in chapel.

CLIENT REQUEST: Working with the architect’s interior theme of woods, water and sky, I was commissioned to design paint finishes and pictorial murals for multiple locations in the newly constructed hospital.

FOCUS: To create timeless works of art representing Wisconsin’s landscape that would create a peaceful environment.

CHALLENGES: Commissioned to create a mural for a 80’ long wall in the main concourse, I elected to divide the wall into three murals that represented Wisconsin woods, water and sky. Working in different media and processes, I created a cut color paper mural, an oil painting on steel mural, and a water color on paper mural. These 3 murals were digitally reproduced and printed on a large scale format before being installed onto the walls.
